Believe

Today’s “Kid, You Secretly Made My Day” came in the form of a wise comment one of my boys in first period made in response to the short story “Marigolds” by Eugenia Collier (read it if you haven’t).

“I think she planted marigolds because she believes in hope and believes that people should have hope even though they don’t have much. You just have to believe things are going to get better.”
